About me

Dr Nerys Owen Ltd & Associates

Hello, I'm Dr Nerys Owen, and I'd like to invite you to book a therapy session with myself or with one of my highly skilled associates (see website). In our first session we can get an idea of what your problems are, what you'd like to change and how many sessions it will likely take until you start feeling better.

Together, we can work on creating the version of you that you should have always been. When we start, it's like emptying puzzle pieces onto a table. We start putting you back together to see the bigger picture, and how you can continue the work yourself outside of therapy.

With many years of rigorous education and training, myself and my associates are highly skilled in offering expertise for children, adolescents, adults,  families and couples in dealing with a broad range of psychological difficulties. We work with people who are struggling with, for example: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, stress, overwhelming emotions, grief and loss and chronic pain.

We are trained in and use many evidence-based therapeutic models in my work such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) accredited practitioner. We use evidence based methods and interventions to bring clarity and hope back into your life.

How therapy works:

Psychological difficulties can develop for many reasons which is what we aim to identify within our sessions. We help individuals find ways to live their life despite the causes, and alongside the symptoms.

Book an initial session to see what options are available for us to work together. We look forward to receiving your enquiry.
