About me

I am registered with National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society for both adults and children, practising as part of Sisu counselling based in Bangor. I offer a friendly, non-judgemental, confidential service and see clients mornings afternoons and evenings.

As an integrative counsellor, I use different modalities depending on what is needed with each individual client. What's most important is developing a trusting therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel comfortable to discuss what's troubling them at this time. We all struggle at times in our lives and need that extra support to help us get back on track. I can help with anxiety, anger management, living with depression, grief, relational issues and much more.

For people who, after Covid have experienced sense of isolation and social anxiety we can explore ways of managing feelings and rebuilding a sense of normality and confidence to enjoy life again.

With young people I have experience in working with peer pressure, bullying, assault, lack of confidence and stress, which can all lead to coping strategies resulting in self harm, low self esteem and sadness. We can work together to rebuild strength and resilience to help with what life has in store.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, Level 5 diploma in counselling children and young people and I am a registered nurse. I regularly update myself with CPD in various subjects that enhance my skills and inform my work. I am currently registered with the National Counselling Society and NMC which require me to practise to specific standards and follow an ethical framework.
