About me

Beginning your journey in reaching out for support can be difficult, so I offer you a warm welcome in making the first step. I am a fully qualified and registered Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with experience in working with a wide variety of clients. I offer a free introductory call to see how we might work together, alongside exploring any questions you may have.

Working in an Integrative way takes elements of different approaches in order to best support your individual needs, at a pace that suits you. I’m able to look at behaviours and beliefs, bringing awareness to the past as well as the present. I’ve helped people to explore many difficult issues such as low self-confidence and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, work and life stress, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, loss, abuse, neurodiversity and adult diagnoses e.g. ADHD. I also have a special interest in attachment and trauma. There are no limits to what can be discussed in therapy.
We all have our unique life experiences, which can be overwhelming at times. I’m here to create a safe space, without judgement, to help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

I passionately believe the therapeutic relationship is central, together we can make meaning from how you feel about yourself, the world, and those around you.
I will listen to whatever is troubling you, whilst providing an environment that allows compassion, empathy and understanding to our sessions, a place where healing and change is possible.

My quiet and confidential private practice is in central Norwich, located within the Golden Triangle area. Free on-site parking is available, but there is also good access to public transport.

I offer weekly face-to-face sessions which can be short term or long term. Currently, the sessions run Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 6pm.

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I am a registered member of BACP, and working within their professional and ethical standards is an important part of my private practice.

Alongside private practice, I volunteer at a Norwich based charity ‘Off The Record’, working with a wide range of clients and issues.

My previous volunteering work with Mind and Village Orchard has added to the experience in supporting people from all walks of life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My private practice is visible from the road/pavement with a ‘Go-Go Dragon’ at the front to make it easier to spot. The location is between Unthank Rd and Chapelfield Gardens roundabout.

The room is located on the second floor, with a short staircase that has a handrail alongside.

The free 15-minute introductory phone call is an opportunity to hear your wants and needs, whilst aiming to relieve any worries surrounding starting counselling.

We can then arrange a first session to get to know each other further and talk about your hopes for our time together. I appreciate these are all big steps, so I want to work towards a decision that is right for you.
