About me

You have walked a unique path to arrive here in this moment and you may feel that there is still more for you to find out about yourself and bring to this world. Even though externally you might be leading a successful life and others perceive you as capable and even look up to or admire you, internally you may feel quite differently. Are you ready to embark on a journey to meet even more of yourself?

You may have entered pathways or made choices that got you stuck in something that does not match your true nature and hinders your connection to a deeply fulfilling life. You might experience that you can never feel truly satisfied with yourself. You may find it hard to sit with yourself and settle into a sense of inner stillness as there are so many distractions constantly interfering within you. You may already be quite aware of many aspects of yourself, but you may feel that there should be more and something is stopping you from living this. You may feel that there is a disconnect from who you are, which has taken you out of your authentic alignment.

When there have been difficult or challenging life experiences or trauma most people have had to let go of parts of their authentic Self (dissociate) and adopt coping strategies to survive their specific circumstances as best as they can. While highly adaptive initially, because it blocks out the pain of these experiences at the time, in later life there are often great personal costs attached to these. These include a sense of inner emptiness or numbness; a false sense of Self or feeling 'a fake'; unhappiness or depression; low self-esteem or insecurity; low frustration tolerance or anger; anxiety or fear; addictions and cravings; self-destructive behaviour; a sense of detachment, indifference or disconnection from life; and others.

While dissociated, the pain connected to these past experiences has not been able to process and thus can frequently cause uncomfortable sensations and strong emotional or physical reactions. It is often events in daily life, such as interactions with a partner, your children or in a work setting, which can bring out these feelings.

However, situations which confront us with uncomfortable emotions, dis-ease and pain can be catalysts for great internal growth, transformation and positive change.

My life has been dedicated to discovering, learning and facilitating the most effective and powerful, inner transformation journeys to help my clients create meaningful purpose, healthy growth, inner strength and greater alignment in their lives. During my 30+ years as a Clinical Psychologist, a PTSD and trauma psychotherapist, as well as a senior executive development facilitator and 27 years as director of The Oxford Development Centre Ltd, including The Cotswold Centre for Trauma Healing, I have developed and would like to share with you a beautiful palette of deep therapeutic life changing approaches.

Through my own personal and professional growth process, I have learnt that if we can move safely further into the pain, which confronts us, and process it, rather than trying to suppress or avoid it, we can mobilise our body, mind and Soul's natural healing processes and strengthen and grow internally. This helps us 1. to transform and change those strategies which are no longer useful to us now, 2. experience and integrate aspects of ourselves, which we have split off from in the past and 3. become increasingly more authentic, accepting, compassionate and loving of ourselves.  My work aims to help you find your way back to your Self, your connection to nature, life's energy and to who you are at essence - discovering a more authentic purpose in life.

This involves entering a process of deeper exploration and identifying, filtering out and transforming what is not truly and authentically you. My work is different with each client and will be tailored entirely to you and collated from my palette of experiences to suit your exact needs.  My work is explorative, deeply attuned and takes you on an inner discovery journey.  We work together very collaboratively and the way in which we work is designed to make you feel comfortable, at ease and empowered in the process. My role is to facilitate and guide your transformation and growth by drawing on my in-depth experiences with development work and trainings in many fields of psychotherapy over the years.

These include Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT), EMDR & bilateral techniques, Schema Mode Therapy, Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), Attachment-focussed Therapy, Inner Child Work, Internal Family Systems, Transpersonal and Depth Psychology, Positive Growth Psychology, Havening, Focussing, Energy Psychology, Body Psychotherapy,  Consciousness-based Approaches, Calatonia, as well as, others. Alongside these, I have undergone my own deep inner healing journey and believe as a facilitator of such profound processes that this is an ongoing commitment that I have made for the rest of my life.
