About me

Absolutely, here's the revised version with UK spelling:

---

Welcome! I'm Zara, a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals with their mental wellbeing across the UK through my online private practice.

Life is a journey filled with diverse challenges, from balancing work and family to facing personal hurdles or transitions. Have you encountered trauma or significant obstacles that weigh on your wellbeing and sense of self? Perhaps you're navigating questions of identity and values in today's complex world. As a therapist with diverse experience, I provide non-judgmental support to individuals from all walks of life, approaching each person's story with kindness and genuine interest.

In my therapy sessions, I offer a safe and nurturing space where you can freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Grounded in person-centred therapy, I prioritise your unique needs and perspectives, fostering a collaborative relationship built on trust and empathy. Whether through evidence-based techniques or integrating other modalities as needed, I work alongside you to develop insights and coping strategies tailored to your specific challenges.

With a specialisation in women's psychology and parenting, I bring focused expertise to support mothers and caregivers through their unique challenges and triumphs. Whether you're adjusting to parenthood or facing challenges along the way, it's okay to seek help. I provide a non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself.

Transitioning into motherhood brings its own set of adjustments and emotions. Whether it's anxiety, identity changes, or relationship dynamics, I'm here to support you through this transformative journey.

Family dynamics greatly influence our parenting experiences. Whether navigating separation, blended families, or different parenting styles, I provide a supportive space to address conflicts and build stronger connections.

Parent caregivers face unique challenges in caring for children with additional needs. I offer tailored support to help you navigate these complexities, manage stress, and prioritise self-care.

Together, we can foster self-acceptance, compassion, and understanding. Your journey is unique, and I'm here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Please reach out, and let's embark on this journey together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm currently pursuing my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology due to complete  2026.

I have BSc in Counselling Psychology, and Diploma is Person Centered and Experiential Counselling.

With my diverse professional background, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
