About me
Hello and welcome!
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. If you're exploring this page, chances are life feels a little overwhelming right now, whether you're experiencing anxiety, overthinking, or navigating past trauma. Perhaps you’ve noticed patterns in your life that no longer serve you, and you're looking for a way to heal, grow, or bring more joy into your relationships and daily life.
My own journey of healing and change led me to this work, and it’s a path I continue to walk both personally and professionally. I deeply believe that, at our core, we are all equal in our humanity, shaped by our experiences and the connections we’ve had along the way.
It is from that place of equality that I chose to work in a relational way, meaning that our work together is built on trust, safety, and genuine connection. Whether we meet online or through walk-and-talk sessions, I will hold a confidential and compassionate space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My approach integrates psychotherapeutic counselling, offering not only a supportive presence but also practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.
I am trained in Transactional Analysis (TA, level 7), a psychotherapeutic approach that helps us understand how our past experiences shape who we are today. It also offers us the opportunity to make meaningful changes in how we relate to ourselves and others. Alongside TA, I continue to develop my skills in other therapeutic modalities, ensuring that the support I offer is shaped around your unique needs and goals.
If something here resonates with you, I invite you to reach out in whatever way feels most comfortable—whether by text, email, or phone. If you call and reach my voicemail, I encourage you to leave a message (it’s easy to forget to say your number, so do include that!). Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you’re not alone, I’m here to support you.
I look forward to connecting with you.
Training, qualifications & experience
My experience of working with people in many life situations is vast and varied, yet the one constant is that with each person, their needs and their stories are central in that happens in our relationship.
I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, having trained and qualified to level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (TA) graduating in 2007 from Leeds Becket University. I am committed to ongoing Continuing Personal Development (CPD) and have regular supervision, these commitments help me to bring new integrate new approaches to my work.
I keep my level three safeguarding up to date and have Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) Level 3 certificate, and am a registered member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, adhering to their Code of Ethics. I am fully insured to practice and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICA) who ensure my GDPR is congruent with the standards expected.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
