Victoria Sharp MBACP BA Hons
I am a BACP registered counsellor working in Bedfordshire, just outside of Dunstable, and also in Milton Keynes.
Life is full of experiences and events that can bring challenges, feelings of sadness, and confusion to life. It is often the case that you may not even know why you are feeling low, depressed, or anxious. Finding a counsellor can be daunting, and often we can be put off by the commitment in terms of time, money and the prospect of talking about really upsetting and challenging things. Counselling can help though, to find a way through these difficult times. Together we explore experiences, thoughts, and feelings providing clarity and awareness to make some sense of the things that have happened or the difficulties you are facing that are preventing you from living life in the way that you would like.
I provide a compassionate, confidential, non-judgemental space for clients to explore how they are feeling. As an Integrative Humanistic counsellor I am able to draw on variety of ways in which to work with clients to best support them through their difficulties. I work with clients who are struggling with a variety of diffident issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, parenting difficulties, stress, miscarriage, self-esteem issues, phobias, postnatal depression, and various life changes.
I have experience working with adults and young people from age 11, in a school setting, a Mental Health Charity and also within a GP practice.
I have over 20 years of experience prior to training as a therapist working with young people in a supportive environment providing 1:1 and group support.
If you would like to see how I might be able to help you or your child you can either visit my website or email/call me to arrange an initial meeting with me. This will take place in my therapy room and will last for 1 hour. It is a chance for you to tell me your story and for us to get a sense of each other and how we could work together. If you wish to proceed we would then discuss taking the next steps.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
