- EMILY RUSSELL
I am pleased to be able to welcome new clients from January 2022
Hello, I understand that you may be struggling with one or many problems at the moment, you may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or loneliness or you may be feeling stuck or dissatisfied with some aspects of your life.
Most people who come to counselling want to make changes and they embark upon a journey of personal growth, which may sometimes feel difficult or challenging for them and at other times feel exciting and enlightening. Throughout this counselling journey I will be there for you, working with you and supporting you, caring about you and offering you regular time and a safe, confidential space to be you and to reflect upon and explore anything which you feel troubled by.
Counselling is a unique way of helping people and a truly amazing process. The way that I work involves me tuning into my clients’ way of being and finding a way of working together which is right for them. I feel very fortunate to work in this field as, over the years, it has been very rewarding to see so many clients discover ways to resolve or manage their difficulties during our work together.
I look forward to hearing from you if you think I may be of help to you.

- ROSEMARIE SAVAGE (I also offer telephone and online counselling)
I am an integrative counsellor, which can include looking at how the past influences present feelings and behaviours whilst, staying in the present to explore coping strategies and ways of dealing with anxiety, depression and loss.
My aim is to develop a genuine trusting counselling relationship with clients to support them in building on their strengths, believing that they have the ability to reach their own potential.
Anyone can need help at different times in life, the important thing is to take the first step and look for help. I offer a calm space and a place for you to feel safe and share your feelings in confidence, to reflect on what’s going on in your life and to get back to living that life to the full.
My counselling experience includes an NHS placement looking at the effects of ill health with associated losses and volunteering with CRUSE bereavement support. I was a Samaritans volunteer for eight years. Further professional development and training has been undertaken in Anxiety Disorder, Trauma, and Mindfulness.

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
