About me

Hi, my name is Sharon and I am a psychotherapist/counsellor based in Redditch, offering face to face, phone, outdoors and online therapy. I am able to work with clients from across the UK online.
I work with adults and young people age 13+ to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing. As a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Therapist and an Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I offer a relaxed and supportive space to talk. Whether you are looking for a brief, solution focussed approach or to work for longer on deeper issues, I can provide a safe, confidential environment to explore your concerns.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I offer a variety of counselling styles to suit your individual needs including Person Centred Therapy, Single Session Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, CBT, CEBT, CBT-E, Outdoor Therapy and Creative Therapies. I am also trained in Rewind Technique for Trauma therapy and EFT (Emotionally Focussed Therapy or Tapping).

I work with employers and SMEs to support Occupational Health recommendations and individual coaching needs relating to coping strategies around work. I am registered with the Private Practice Register for Insurance Company and EAP referrals including Axa, Vita, BUPA and Vitality.

If you are seeking counselling for the first time it can feel daunting. I can arrange an initial call with you to explain how it works and how we might work together. I can also answer any questions you may have.
Sessions can be arranged flexibly week to week to suit busy schedules and can be weekly or fortnightly to suit.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
