About me

A very warm welcome to you, my name is Sarika and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I offer talking therapy, art and creative therapy to children, young people and adults.

I have had the privilege of working with children, young people and adults for over seven years in various settings. As an Integrative Counsellor I have the knowledge and expertise to offer a range of therapeutic approaches taking into consideration you as an individual and your personal circumstances, so whatever challenges you are going through in your life we can explore this together and work in a way that suits your needs. I adopt a holistic approach to therapy which means understanding the ‘whole’ you, including your emotional, physical, social and psychological wellbeing.

For me, essentially therapy is about building a relationship based on trust, safety and understanding. I hope to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself. I will be there with you every step of the way through this process to empower you to shape your life the way you want it to be.

If you are interested, I would love to hear from you! You can get in touch by phone, text message or via email. We can then arrange an initial 20 minute appointment (free of charge) to give you the opportunity to decide if you would like to work with me.

Additionally, I also offer consultations to parents and carers, these are sessions to support, guide and give practical advice on how you can support your child’s mental health, wellbeing and any other challenges related to parenting. For further information or to book an appointment, feel free to get in touch by phone, text message or via email.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
