About me

Hello and a warm welcome,

Making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step, but it can be a positive one. My aim is to be alongside you and listen without judgement, whilst helping you explore at your own pace, whatever difficulties you maybe facing. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? Or perhaps you are experiencing low self esteem, stress, anxiety or burnout because your work/life balance isn’t what you’d like it to be? Equally, you may want to work through some important life changes and evaluate your next steps.

How I can help

Together we can explore whatever issues arise and it is my belief that therapy can help you make sense of your experiences and unburden you to feel less alone. I won't offer you advice, instead, I offer you a safe, calm and welcoming space for you to be able to focus on what's important to you and realise your own path forward.

I am truly passionate and committed to supporting my clients on their counselling journey to making sense and meaning of their experiences, From my own personal experience, I understand just how important it is to be heard and understood. I offer a genuine and empathic therapeutic relationship where confidentiality and respect are the cornerstones of my practice.

Working Together

I work in partnership with my clients and the number of sessions we have will depend upon your sense of progress and when you feel the time is right for us to complete our work. At regular intervals, I will check in that you're getting what you need from therapy and re-visit your therapeutic goals, if appropriate. My aim is to create an accepting, non judgmental space for you to be yourself.

Initial Consultation

I offer an initial free of charge in person or telephone session, so I can get an understanding of what brings you to counselling. This is also an opportunity to get to know you better and answer any questions you may have about me or my practice.

My Practice - Felbridge - East Grinstead, Crowborough and Crawley

I am an experienced, qualified Humanistic counsellor and therapist, and registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I also access regular clinical supervision to safeguard my clients and to better inform my practice.

I work with individuals and couples from all walks of life and backgrounds coming to me with a diverse range of issues. In addition to my private practice, I have worked at a local hospice. Here I provided support to relatives, carers and patients experiencing life limiting illnesses, wellbeing difficulties, loss, grief and bereavement. My BACP accredited integrative training allows me to draw upon theories from counselling and psychotherapy and tailor my approach unique to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
