Peter Crowe MA, UKCP accred. Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist and Counsellor
I put you as the client at the heart of my work, ensuring you have a relaxed, supportive and confidential environment in which to explore your thoughts, your feelings and how you make sense of the world.
My practice engages with a full range of client issues from those that constellate around crisis to those that represent an awakening - particularly since these events are often interrelated. A personal crisis may signal that you are “standing on the threshold” between a habitual way of being, and a new way forward.
My approach draws on the work of Roberto Assagioli, a contemporary of Jung and Freud, who combined Eastern and Western teachings on psychology, philosophy and spirituality, to develop psychosynthesis psychology.
Psychosynthesis is a holistic and integrative psychospiritual psychology, concerned not only with how we manage our problems and alleviate suffering, but also with how we awaken to our life's potential.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of counselling I deal with
Call me or email to get the ball rolling. We can arrange an initial session where we can meet, talk through what you want to get out of counselling and whether I'm the right person for you to work with. This initial appointment is an opportunity to ask questions and ensure a good match between what I offer and your needs and situation. If we agree to continue, set up a series of weekly sessions.
I work with individuals and couples from practice rooms in both Exeter and Bristol..I divide my time between the locations and am flexible around finding a time which can work for you
My standard fee is £50 per hour-long session, although I am willing to discuss concessions.
I was born in Leicester and moved to Devon in 2013. I have spent a number of years living and working in New Zealand, Italy and the USA.
I enjoy an active interest in business coaching, art therapy, systems approaches, eco-psychology, transition towns and ecotherapy. I continue to work as an artist, designer, and teacher.
