About me

Stuck, confused, overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? Struggling with a relationship, bereavement, job loss, parenthood, or parents? Perhaps you don’t know your exact problem, only that something isn’t right. My role is to help clients explore their issues, gain insight, clarity and understanding, then support them as they move towards change. Working together, we explore where they are now, how they got there, where they’d prefer to be, and how they might do things differently.

I’m an experienced, fully qualified Integrative Therapist and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK’s largest governing Counselling organisation. I'm trained in  Humanistic, Psychodynamic & CBT theory, using whichever approach best suits the client and their circumstances. In plain English, I meet clients, they talk and we discuss without judgement or me telling them what to do; instead encourage them to explore more helpful ways of approaching their issues.

I also hope my practice isn't based entirely on psychotherapeutic theory but also on my own life experience. This includes being an awkward, reluctant client myself who grudgingly learned that therapy helped - not a little, but a lot. Inspired to discover more, I studied, qualified, and now work as an Integrative Therapist for Mind in Haringey, alongside my own Private Practice. I’m also a father and husband, London-born, with immigrant European parentage who, prior to qualifying as a therapist, had a 30 year career in Media (Music-Videos, Advertising & Film).

I work with a wide spectrum of issues and clients, from students to retired adults, via Face-to-Face sessions in my Archway-Tufnell Park Practice, or in online Zoom sessions. How many sessions might we need? It depends on your needs and is something that's mutually discussed as part of the counselling process.

I charge £60-80 per session, but also offer 5 low-cost spaces to students or low-income clients on a first-come-first-serve basis. If interested, please email/phone to arrange an initial session to find out how we might work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
