About me
Hello, I'm Nikki. If you are reading this then you have taken the first step to find some help. When life becomes overwhelming and you feel uncertain about your next steps, I am here to support you in navigating difficult moments and managing stressful situations.
Have you experienced a traumatic event and find your lifes been turned upside down or leaving you feeling as though your life has become unmanageable? This can be anything from childhood abuse, bullying, an accident, physical pain or injury, sexual assault, ongoing exposure to distressing situations, domestic violence, and similar circumstances and your life changed significantly
Are you finding it difficult to manage anxiety, hindering your ability to accomplish your goals? Do you experience chronic pain that leads you to frequently cancel plans? Have you received a diagnosis and are seeking to understand your feelings about it? Is the loss of a friend, loved one, or pet overwhelming, or are you mourning the person you used to be? Do you often find yourself imagining the worst in various situations?
I am a qualified counselor with extensive life experience, having dedicated 11 years to working with Mind Charity. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience in private practice and also working with Employee Assistance Programs, social services, legal settings, accumulating over 3,500 hours of counseling.
I have a particular focus on addressing issues related to trauma, PTSD, anxiety, chronic pain, invisible disabilities, bullying, grief, neurodiversity, ADHD, ASD, Tourettes and various personality disorders, among others.
I have a lot of experience addressing a wide variety of mental health issues in an environment where you can express yourself freely, without fear of judgment. I can assist you in processing your past experiences while focusing on the present. In a world that often feels overwhelming, it's essential to gain clarity of thought. You deserve to be truly heard, not merely listened to, and that is where my support comes in. We will progress at a pace that suits you, as you are the author on your own life, even if you haven't realized it yet
I can work with you for a one-off session or for as long as you need help moving forward in the next chapter of your life, it's all about you.
I became a counsellor after a life-changing event left me feeling alone, anxious, suffering and struggling with chronic pain. So, I became the counsellor I wish was there when I needed someone to talk to. I will listen and make sure you are heard, I will accept you for who you are.
If you look after everyone else, who looks after you?
Please reach out to me so we can discuss how I can assist you. I provide a one-on-one, safe, and confidential environment in a serene location in Northamptonshire. We can meet face-to-face, connect online via Zoom, or have a phone conversation to delve into your thoughts and feelings regarding your experiences from the past to the present.
If you prefer, you can request a callback by contacting me through phone, text, or email.
I strive to respond to emails promptly; however, if you do not receive a reply within 24 hours, kindly check your spam or junk folder.
Additionally, I facilitate a trauma and PTSD support group and am currently seeking a venue to establish a physical space for participants, as well as an online option.
I have now set up Bring 2gether CIC, this is the company name for running the trauma & PTSD support groups.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
