About me

Hello, I'm Nikki, if you are reading this, you have taken the first step to get the help you need and you are looking for someone to talk to as you don't want to bother your friends and family.

As a experenced qualified counsellor with over 6 years experience and a special interest working with Trauma, PTSD,  anxiety, chronic pain to name a few. I have life experiences as well as knowledge to help you move forwards.

When your day to day becomes a struggle and anxiety or negative thoughts starts to spiralling out of control, from a loss of a loved one, friend or a fur baby, stress of work or you had a traumatic event that you had no control over and it feels like there is no way out of the situation you're in, and Covid isn't helping.

I can help you work through what you're going through and help you in different ways, that can help you work on not feeling good enough, self-confidence, abuse, childhood traumas, nightmares, flashbacks, domestic violence, bullying and panic attacks.  We will work at your pace, you are the expert of your life you just don't know it yet

I can work with you for a one-off session or for as long as you need help moving forwards in the next chapter of your life, it's all about you, I will listen and make sure you are heard, I will accept you for who you are.

I offer a safe, quiet, confidential space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings in more detail in my room that is situated in my back garden and is in a quiet area of Higham Ferrers.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
