About me
Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to live with less stress and have your own motivation and purpose in life? Do you sometimes think that the COVID pandemic changed your outlook on life, and you truly want to start living with more awareness, well-being, and happiness?
On top of that, are relationships hard, and do you find yourself in battles with others or yourself? Do you feel that you didn’t say the right thing, or perhaps you said too much, and now you feel guilty, weighed down by shame?
Are you wondering if there is no balance between home and work, or maybe you feel lonely and worried about the overwhelming changes that are happening in the world around us?
Therapy can help you transform your relationships and will allow you to live your life more peacefully by:
-Talking through your current problems without fear of judgment, so you can develop the confidence to implement solutions.
-You will start recognising triggers and stressors, allowing you to develop coping strategies and make different choices.
-Therapy will help you set boundaries and manage others' expectations, giving you more free time to make the most of your life.
If you've experienced trauma or difficult experiences in the past, therapy can help you process and heal from these wounds. By addressing unresolved trauma, you can reduce its impact on your current relationships and emotional well-being.
Training, qualifications & experience
I came to the UK almost 20 years ago as a young adult. I had to deal with a lot of problems and believe me, it wasn't easy. I struggled with loneliness and anxiety, and although I wanted to feel better about myself, I didn't know how to change it. I felt stuck.
Therapy has transformed my life. I became more confident and started noticing things that I was in charge of or I could change. My communication skills got better, and then I decided to follow my dream and became a therapist.
I set up my private practice because I saw people who also struggle with no direction in life, despite having a house, family, and what would seem like a 'normal life.' With the familiarity of living in a different culture, I've experienced loneliness, feelings of not belonging, guilt, shame and stuckness. I understand people who want to gain more confidence to feel free and share their true selves with the world.
I am a directive therapist, and I offer specific instructions or techniques to help clients address their issues and reach their therapeutic goals, but the metaphor that I use with clients is this: Imagine that we are both sitting in a car, and you are the driver. You will take me on a journey; we will go at your pace, and the destination is yours.
Since my training as a therapist, I've supported dozens of people to make changes in their lives and feel more positive about their future.
Previous clients have told me that the coping mechanisms and strategies were useful, and they continue to use them. The new perspectives they gained enabled them to have more self-compassion and identify their strengths. They often mention that having therapy is like lifting the weight off their shoulders and it helps to clarify their thoughts.
I would love to help you too.
