About me

I offer a warm, comfortable and calming environment to help you feel safe to share your troubles and concerns. I understand how difficult it can be to approach therapy so will help with whatever it is you feel you need support with. One of the bravest and hardest decisions in life is to look at oneself so I am here to walk with you whilst you make that journey. I always tread the steps you choose to take with you and will help you to face up to the difficulties that have been painful enough to lead you to seek healing.

I provide a safe space for the exploration and treatment of addictive behaviours, trauma, anxiety, stress and eating disorders (either face to face or via Skype). I assist you to build emotional intelligence, by guiding inner child work. I help to build and work on finding your self-esteem, which in turn helps you to develop and thrive in relationships.

I use an integrative psychotherapeutic approach as I believe we are all unique. We all have the right to feel at peace and ease in our daily lives. By deciding to take the step to enter therapy, you will most certainly be working towards experiencing that. I will help you to learn to like who you are and thrive being the person you have always meant to be.

Training, qualifications & experience

My early experience of counselling was a foundation course in counselling skills earned at a local college. I went on to train at CGL drugs and alcohol support service where I provided professional therapeutic assessments as well as one on one therapy and group therapy. I then went on to gain my post graduate diploma in Psychology and then studied my master's degree in psychology at London south bank university. I became a director of my company's private practice in 2018 and have been seeing clients both online and in person since then.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
