About me

Hi, I'm Li, and I'm here to help you understand yourself better. I believe everyone is unique, shaped by how they interact with others. Sometimes, these interactions can lead to confusing or wrong ideas about ourselves. My job is to help you untangle your thoughts and feelings, so you can find answers to the things that are bothering you.

I'm also a relationship counsellor, dedicated to guiding clients through challenges with care and expertise. Specialising in improving communication skills, I consider diverse cultural perspectives for inclusivity. Whether it's navigating conflicts, addressing abuse, or coping with grief, I prioritise safety and well-being.

In individual or couples therapy, I assist with conflict resolution, emphasising negotiation and compromise for constructive disagreements. I provide a safe space for expression and healing, helping clients overcome challenges like affairs and betrayals while promoting forgiveness and trust-building.

My goal is to help clients set realistic future goals and develop plans for healthier dynamics and stronger connections.

I work with the following issues:

  • Betrayals and affairs
  • Conflict and blame
  • Sexual issues and dysfunction
  • Fertility issues and loss
  • Anxiety, depression, mental health
  • Abuse, violence and child protection
  • Unhelpful thinking habits and damaging behaviours
  • Separation and divorce
  • New relationships and repeated patterns
  • Blended families
  • Any area that is affecting you or your relationship

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
