About me
I am a fully qualified and experienced BACP registered counsellor offering private counselling and coaching sessions. I am based in Topsham, Exeter and I offer online sessions.
It is a belief of mine that we all have a unique way of seeing the world and this is to be celebrated, yet society often tells us that there is one way and if we do not fit that box then we do not belong. I challenge that, and I work with people in accepting themselves as they are.
I work in an integrative way, and encourage clients to explore what changes they wish to see in themselves and their lives. In our work together we examine thought patterns, beliefs and behaviours that may be affecting you.
I recognise and value the importance of working within clear boundaries whilst being warm, friendly and relaxed. I believe it is important to build trust and to provide a safe space for clients to use for their own personal growth.
My intention is to collaboratively work with you so you can get to know yourself, to know your core beliefs and to intentionally soften the judgemental inner voice so that you can develop a strong sense of self and recognise your own value. I do not give advice and I believe that this process only works if you are willing to do the work.
I utilise a holistic approach and alongside discussion, we may integrate somatic work, nervous system healing, creative visualisation, mindfulness, meditation and breath work. All of these disciplines are there to transform pain and challenges into healing and growth, greater purpose and resilience.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
