About me
I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor. I have helped people with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and loss of direction. I am also experienced in working with adult survivors of developmental trauma, sexual and domestic abuse. My approach draws upon a range of counselling models and I am also accredited in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This enables me to tailor my approach to each individual.
I also supervise people from a wide range of backgrounds and modalities including Gestalt, Person Centred, Integrative and Psychodynamic.
An initial meeting provides an opportunity for you to meet with me and decide if what I have to offer feels right for you. I am able to offer a set number of sessions or longer term counselling/psychotherapy this includes working with counsellors in training.
I offer face to face sessions in Emsworth, Hampshire and I also work on-line using Zoom. Regrettably, I no longer take referrals via Health Insurance Companies.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I am a qualified (Diploma in Clinical Supervision) and experienced supervisor. I provide supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors/psychotherapists. I offer both individual and group supervision.
I believe that supervision is central to the development and maintenance of ethical practice. It provides a reflective space for practitioners to review and develop their work and plays an important role in counsellor self-care. I have an integrative and relational approach to supervision and I endeavour to provide an environment in which counsellors feel both supported and challenged in their work.
For an initial meeting I charge £25 and thereafter fees are £55 per 50 minute session.
If you would like to explore the possibility of working together and/or you have any questions please contact me by email, text or 'phone, thank you.
