About me
I have been working as a counsellor since 1992. My core model is Gestalt. However, I have also trained in a variety of counselling models including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), integrative art therapy and sensorimotor psychotherapy.
My intention is to support you with empathy and compassion in order to understand the issues that are affecting you and how you would like to approach your life moving forward. I will not tell you what to do but will provide you with a space where you can reflect on what is happening in your life, deepen awareness and understanding explore choices and make appropriate changes.
An initial meeting provides an opportunity for us to talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you would like to achieve, and what you hope to be different in your life. I offer short and longer-term therapy.

Through my training and experience, I have had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds, bringing a range of different experiences, challenges and concerns. I value each person's unique experience and aim to meet you with openness, and curiosity and without judgement.
My private practice is based in Emsworth where I offer short and long term counselling/psychotherapy. I also provide individual and group supervision for trainees and qualified practitioners. I am an experienced trainer and was an associate trainer with The Metanoia Institute for 3 years.
I am currently studying for a Doctor of Professional Studies in Psychological Trauma - University of Chester

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I charge £25 for an initial meeting. My fees for counselling, supervision and couples therapy are £60 for a 50 minute session. I offer concessions for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists. I no longer work with insurance companies.

I am a qualified (Diploma in Clinical Supervision) and experienced supervisor. I have provided supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors/psychotherapists in various settings. This includes private practice, the third sector and the NHS. statutory sectors sector. I offer both individual and group supervision.
I believe that supervision is central to the development and maintenance of ethical practice. It provides a reflective space for practitioners to review and develop their work and plays an important role in counsellor self-care. I have an integrative and relational approach to supervision and I endeavour to provide an environment in which counsellors feel both supported and challenged in their work.
For an initial meeting I charge £25 and thereafter fees are £60 per 50 minute session.
