About me
Kadir Karahan MBACP
Integrative Multilingual Counselling & Psychotherapy providing counselling in Kurdish, Turkish, bilingual French and Greek. I have recently received qualification in BSL level3.
Sometimes it can feel difficult or almost impossible to share what's hurting you, with your surrounding. Seeking for help in therapy means that you need and deserve to have the time for yourself, to explore what you are currently going through and freely express your feelings and share your thoughts, concerns and the difficulties you are experiencing. Clients from diverse social backgrounds, 14+ through to senior generations from different heritage, races and cultures, sexualities and identities are welcome.
I am a qualified Integrative therapist and have 20 years of mental health experience in the UK working with range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement and trauma to name few, and I believe that no one should be left alone when experiencing difficult times.
We would meet for an initial consultation to discuss what has brought you to therapy now, what your expectations are, and to consider the best way forward. There is no obligation at this stage to proceed as it is an opportunity for you to explore whether you feel comfortable in the setting. All enquiries are strictly confidential.
If we decided to proceed we would discuss a fee and we would normally meet at the same time each week for a 50 minute session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
