About me

Hey!  I am a Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist.

My personal journey in life has brought me to a unique position where I am able to assist others on both a professional position, as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, and by drawing an understanding from my own uniquely personal experiences.  Each and every one of us experience life through our own perception and comprehension, therefore everyone's journey is unique.  I will endeavour to offer you an empathetic and compassionate understanding of your unique experiences.

We never ask ourselves the difficult questions.
We develop unhealthy coping strategies in an attempt to prevent the need to acknowledge our difficulties. These unhealthy coping strategies can present as avoidance and procrastination and are primarily developed to protect us from experiencing the emotions
we’ve attached to the memories, tasks, people, places, experiences etc.

If you are considering therapy or want to find out more, please get in touch, either by phone/text or email.   You can do so by clicking on the details below my profile picture and we can make arrangements for what suits you.
Thanks for reading!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Payment is required to secure your initial session and then 48 hours prior to all subsequent sessions.

Please do not hesitate to discuss fees or payments depending upon your circumstances.

Due to prior circumstances, I have had to implement a cancellation policy where sessions cancelled less than 48 hours in advance are still charged at full rate, depending on the circumstances.  This is due to not being able to fill the allocated session and therefor loss of income.
