About me
Do you suffer from anxiety, depression or perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed with the pressures of life? I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering Integrative Person-centred therapy, this is based on the premise that it is the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client that is key to successful therapy, my clients have said they feel heard, validated and able to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe confidential space.
I believe that each person is an individual and therefore, together we can find the best approach for you. Having worked alongside my private practice in a variety of settings, within a University Student mental health team and a volunteer with a mental health clinic and also a community charity. I have assisted clients with a wide range of issues such as relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, abuse, low self-worth, feeling sad, eating problems, stress, gender identity, grief, trust, anger, bullying.
I have worked with clients who are exploring the possibility of having ADHD, Autism or ASD and helping them explore how this impacts their lives, sometimes having some understanding and compassion for self can help. Others seek counselling when they simply need someone to talk and to be heard.
I work with adults over 18 and can offer daytime and early evening appointments on. a Wednesday from my Ilkley therapy rooms.
Please call me and we can have a chat about your personal circumstances, an initial session could be that step to making changes in your life.
I also have experience of supporting women through the menopause which can be a difficult time both physically and psychologically and such a challenging time.
Thank you for viewing my profile, you have come to the right place. Taking the first step isn't always easy, feel free to make contact and we can arrange a suitable time to talk about what you need. If you feel we can work together we can arrange a face to face or on-line session to suit you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I support women in dealing with the menopause, many women feel unable to talk about their feelings and emotions during this time. My MA in counselling is based around women and the menopause and how therapy can help. Clients have said they feel validated and supported during this time of life change.
