About me

Do you suffer from anxiety? Feelings of overwhelm and panic? I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering Integrative Person-centred therapy, this is based on the premise that it is the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client that is key to successful therapy, my clients have said they feel heard, validated and able to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe confidential space.

I believe that each person is an individual and therefore, together we can find the best approach for you.  Alongside my private practice, I work within a University Student mental health team and I have worked as a volunteer with a mental health clinic and also a community charity, assisting clients with a wide range of issues such as relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, abuse, low self-worth, feeling sad, eating problems, stress, gender identity, grief, trust, anger, bullying.  Also when you simply need someone to talk to hear you.

I have experience of working with adults and young people,  clients who refer to themselves as neurodivergent, and clients who identify as LBGTQ.

I offer day or early evening appointments to suit your availability.

Please call to discuss any aspect of the therapy or if you have any questions, an initial session could be that step to making changes in your life.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I support women in dealing with the menopause, many women feel unable to talk about their feelings and emotions during this time. My MA in counselling is based around women and the menopause and how therapy can help. Clients have said they feel validated and supported during this time of life change.
