About me
If you are looking for a counsellor either face to face, online or telephone then we may be a good fit.
Finding your counsellor is important, but finding the right counsellor, who you are comfortable with, and who you feel you can have a relationship with, in order to express emotions or sit in silence with and that be OK, is even more important.
I believe finding a counsellor deserves your time you only know it is the right fit when you try them on and walk with them for a while. Relationships take time to build.
My own background is in specialist provision for children, young people and adults. I am as a result experienced in working with people who use a variety of communication strategies and neurodiversity.
Through later work with charitable organisations, I have provided both remote and face to face counselling support to adults experiencing a range of life events including anxiety, depression and bereavement. Whilst building a relationship with you as an individual I am able to draw on a range of skills to provide a tailored therapy to provide the environment that is needed to enable personal growth and the time to allow that to take place with care and patience.
My therapy room is within a quiet community setting with free nearby parking. I offer a comfortable room that is designed to offer a space for you to be able to relax and feel at ease, a space away from the humdrum of the everyday.
I warmly invite you to contact me. So that we may meet in whatever way feels most apprpriate to you - online, on the telephone or in person - so that you can get a feel for how we might work together. To discuss your wants and needs and whether this feels like a good fit for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
