About me

Whatever your worries and concerns, you matter, and what you are going through matters. Challenges like relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, low self-esteem, and loss can have a big impact on your wellbeing. These and many other issues can bring up all sorts of negative emotions that can be difficult to make sense of on your own.  Whether you are looking for help with a long standing issue or a new one, sharing your concerns in a confidential and non-judgemental space can be a real comfort, and it can be a first step towards understanding more about yourself and what you are going through.

Psychotherapeutic counselling can help you to understand more about yourself, and why you think, feel and act as you do.  You may make discoveries that lead you to realisations, insights and possible change.  With many years of experience in addressing an array of issues, my goal is that you change and grow in your own unique way, that your mind is eased, and you are able to discover new ways of being in your own life.

As well as working with individuals, I also work with couples. Negotiating any relationship is challenging and our primary relationships are especially so, as it is a place where we can feel very vulnerable.  Whether you are facing issues with communication, life goals, sex, parenting, disappointments, the sooner you can start talking openly with each other the better the chance you have of repairing and realigning your futures together.

If you are ready to take the next step now, however hesitantly, do get in touch directly here, or visit my website for more details.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
