About me
Are you looking for something that could make you feel better, to get a break from those troublesome inner thoughts and unwelcome feelings, to change what is going on in your world? I offer weekly sessions to Adults and Couples, to help you to untangle your troubles.
Individuals
Anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, low self-esteem, challenges in relationships, and losses and traumas of many sorts, are just a few of the experiences that can have such a big impact on your wellbeing. Issues like these can bring up all sorts of negative emotions that can be difficult to make sense of on your own, and often these struggles can be easier to worked through in therapy. When you start to understand yourself better and gain access to some useful tools and coping strategies, life can start to feel more balanced.
Easing life transitions, reducing repeating negative patterns, exploring attachment issues and learning to be kinder to yourself are amongst the many themes we could work on together. And if you think you may be holding on to negative experiences from childhood, these can always be worth exploring. I am especially informed about the way our unconscious memories can break through into our present lives and it is possible to become more aware of these and to reduce the unhelpful interference they can cause.
Whether you are looking for help with a long standing issue or a new one, sharing your concerns in a confidential and non-judgemental space can be a real comfort. Being able to put a voice to your internal thoughts and feelings in a safe place can be a valuable first step. To note, I have worked with many ADHD and ASD clients which equips me well for work with the neurodivergent community.
Couples
I also offer support to couples. Negotiating any relationship is challenging and our primary relationships are especially so, as it is a place where we can feel very vulnerable. Whether you are facing issues with communication, life goals, sex and intimacy, parenting, infidelities, abuse, trust, blending families, changing priorities, the sooner you can start talking openly with each other the better the chance you have of repairing and realigning your futures together.
Feedback from couples clients: 'therapy made a big difference to our relationship', 'I was unsure at first but it's really helped' and 'I wish we had come sooner'.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
