About me

Choosing the right Counsellor or Psychotherapist can feel overwhelming at what may already be a difficult time.

I offer a warm, confidential and collaborate space, in which we can explore whatever feelings, thoughts, behaviours or circumstances you may be facing.

You may be living with anxiety or depression, feel overwhelmed with your current situation, you may be struggling with unwanted thoughts, feelings or behaviours getting in the way of your happiness, or feeling haunted by experiences from the past. You may simply feel stuck, unable to hold onto fulfilment or joy, wondering when your life might begin. You may want to develop a better understanding of yourself and your patterns of behaviour and move towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.

I am a professionally qualified and registered, Integrated Counsellor and Psychotherapist, which means I am trained in a number of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, humanistic, body, contemporary relational psychotherapy and dramatherapy.

I integrate a combination of these approaches to best work in relationship with you and to find ways in which we might work to address your issues.

I offer both support and challenge in a non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you can bring whatever you are struggling with.

Above all, I believe that the ‘therapeutic alliance’ is what makes therapy work, that is, your confidence in me and the therapy. So choosing a therapist you feel you can work with and feel supported by, is most important.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an Advanced Diploma in Integrated Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I also trained at Roehampton University as a Dramatherapist.

I have 8 years of seeing clients in a number of settings including Women's Centres and Families without Fear and have 20 years of experience in London delivering therapeutic interventions for young people and adults.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
