About me

At the outset of any journey, a multitude of questions tend to surface. These questions can weigh heavily: How do I choose the right therapist? What form of therapy will truly resonate with me? Will this therapist genuinely understand my current life circumstances? Can I genuinely find the assistance I so desperately seek? It's natural for these questions to feel boundless, but one thing remains unwavering—this is indeed a journey. With time, understanding, a sense of shared purpose, and open-heartedness, these uncertainties can gradually transform into answers.

My approach is rooted in the belief that every client's situation is unique, and I am dedicated to discovering the individualized tools necessary to navigate your therapeutic journey, regardless of what has brought you to this point in life. Your place in life holds profound significance, and I honor that.

Finding the right therapist can be a challenging quest, but starting therapy is a courageous and deeply humbling first step. Drawing from my experience working in both the United States and the United Kingdom, I bring a distinct perspective to my practice, one that is attuned to the individual needs of my clients. As an integrative psychotherapist, I provide a nurturing sanctuary for you to explore and reconnect with your inner self. This may involve revisiting the past, illuminating the hidden aspects of your being, or progressing toward a more authentic, mindful self.

In our therapeutic journey, it is perfectly normal to take time to cultivate trust and build a meaningful connection with your therapist. My extensive experience covers a wide range of areas, but I have specific interests in assisting individuals with their personal and career successes while grappling with internal stagnation, addressing inner wounds, working through and embracing neurodivergence, nurturing mental health, and supporting personal growth. Together, we can move beyond the shadows of depression and trauma, guiding you towards the rediscovery of your most authentic self.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) with an MA in Integrative Therapy from Roehampton University and a Foundation Diploma in Integrative Therapy from The Minster Centre. Over the past 14 years, I've had the privilege of working in the field of psychotherapy and mental health. Recently, I had the honor of serving as the Head of Academy and Supervisor for one of the UK's largest low-cost online therapy providers. In this role, my purpose was to guide and support other counselors in their professional growth.

As a supervisor for this compassionate community-based company, my commitment always revolves around embracing a diverse range of ideas and perspectives. I draw inspiration from various sources, including philosophy, spirituality, self-help, the power of inner creativity, the courage to face life's challenges, acts of altruism, the pursuit of meaningful career goals, and the essential practice of self-compassion. It is my heartfelt mission to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters growth and well-being for all.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

We start with a 15-minute (free of cost) conversation where you have the privacy to talk freely. Within this short time, I will ground the discussion with professional trust and explore any safeguarding issues (if any) to ensure your needs stay within my professional competencies. Then we will examine your/our requirements, preferences, concerns, and fee. If all this feels right for us, I will send you some documentation to review carefully and proceed with our first session. I hope this gives you more comfort and clarity. If there are any other queries, please feel free to ask.
