About me
With over fifteen years of experience in mental health practice spanning the UK and US, my mission has always been to cultivate an environment for my clients or fellow travellers that nurtures care, altruism, and open-heartedness. I believe in the uniqueness of every client's circumstances and am committed to uncovering tailored tools to guide your therapeutic journey, irrespective of what brings you to this juncture in life. Your current position holds profound significance, and I deeply respect that.
How I work & Current Focus
Embarking on the quest for the right therapist can be daunting, yet initiating therapy marks a brave and profoundly humbling initial stride. As an integrative psychotherapist, I offer a nurturing haven for you to delve into and reconnect with your inner self. This journey may entail revisiting the past, shedding light on concealed facets of your identity, or progressing towards a more authentic, mindful self.
My extensive expertise spans a diverse array of domains, with particular focus on aiding individuals wrestling with internal 'stuntedness' compounded by anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. I've effectively guided clients in their journey towards recognizing their intrinsic worth, whether in relation to career accomplishments or the quest for fulfillment. Additionally, I provide support to siblings of individuals with Autism, ADHD, or other forms of neurodivergence, as well as working with individuals to help them forge their own understanding of positive identity and self-worth, addressing trauma stemming from abuse.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I hold an MA in Integrative Therapy from Roehampton University and a Foundation Diploma in Integrative Therapy from The Minster Centre. Throughout my career in psychotherapy, I've assumed various roles, including academy facilitator, supervisor, and counsellor. In each capacity, my focus has been on guiding and supporting other counsellors in their professional development. As a supervisor, I am committed to embracing a diverse range of ideas and perspectives, drawing inspiration from philosophy, spirituality, self-help, and the power of inner creativity. My heartfelt mission is to create a nurturing and inclusive world that fosters growth and well-being for all.
Continual Professional Development
My ongoing professional development has encompassed a wide range of topics, including:

- Agape in Therapy
- The Nature and Impact of Childhood Sexual Abuse
- Working with Adolescent Clients with Eating Disorders and Difficulties

Prior to and during my experiences in mental health, I have a diverse background which includes working for Fortune 500 corporations in the States as a translator, acquiring a master's in fine art, and maintaining an art practice. Additionally, I have supported non-profits working with inner-city children, LGBTQ+ runaways in Hollywood, individuals in gangs, and served as an art mentor and teacher. I have also worked consecutively with teams implementing behaviour plans and interventions for children with Autism.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
