About me

Do you need an outside objective perspective on your life to get more out of it? To understand why you behave a certain way? Why others behave a certain way with you?

Do you perhaps need help with managing difficult relationships? or understanding how to have healthier ones?

Are you looking for relief from chronic health conditions? To understand the psychology process that can sometimes contribute to health issues?

Do you despair of ever feeling content or happy again? Or just to feel actively happy rather than a state of plain neutral?

Do you want relief from stress and anxiety? To perhaps learn some coping mechanisms? or to understand why you feel these things?

Services offered:-

  • Counselling / Psychotherapy
  • Life Coaching
  • Clinical Supervision
  • Mental Health Consultations

As a team we offer a road-map towards better health and a stronger sense of wellbeing using holistic and creative tools such as art, play, archetype cards, visualisation, meditation and more.

The three pillars to our work tend to be self-exploration, self-understanding and self-care.

The benefits of working with me specifically include our use of creative thinking that allow us to access parts of the brain that are out of consciousness, so that we can work deeply and make lasting change. I personally bring over 20 years of experience as Counsellor, Life Coach and Mental Health Consultancy gained from working in the NHS, Children's charities, domestic violence charities, and other organisations offering counselling to young people as well as adults.

If anything in my website grabs your interest, do get in touch. You are welcome to call or email ; if I am unable to take your call, do leave your number.  I will call you back as soon as I can.

It is important to find out if you feel comfortable talking to me, to see if it feels like a good fit between us. We can chat about what you want to achieve if we decide to work together, but there is no obligation to continue.

If you decide that you would like to work with me or a member of my team, we can book an assessment session and decide on the frequency of the work as well as length of time. We are a team that offer open-ended work, short term work and packages of 6-8 sessions too.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My current interest areas include using creativity to foster greater internal health & wellbeing for people with chronic health conditions including autoimmune issues, anxiety, depression, and stress. I also love to work with supporting people with general personal development. I enjoy working with people who want to find solutions to their difficulties; so many of our difficulties seem to be related to relationships - with self and with others.
