About me
Hello my name is Helan I am a fully Accredited Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist with BABCP as well as a Dialectal Behavioural Therapist for emotional distress and self harm and a CBT-e Therapist for eating disorders this means I can use an array of knowledge, experience and models to work with you in a way that would best suit your needs
My expertise is with people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, Trauma, PTSD, past abuse, self harm, emotional dis regulation, attachment, eating difficulties, addiction, ASD and family work
I work with young children, adolescents, couples and families and run parenting group programmes
I use an empathetic therapeutic approach which is suitable to match your own individual needs to empower and help you to move forward in your life
I am also a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 25 years NHS experience working with young people in CAMHS and adults as well as experience of working in a private BUPA Addictions Unit
I offer a free, warm and compassionate 30 minute telephone consultation to discuss your precise needs, my aim is to support you in helping you make sense of your life situation as well as helping you to navigate a new path for yourself
I am able to offer evening and weekend appointments in either Bridgwater or Taunton

Additionally I have extensive experience in working privately with adults, young people, Schools both public and private

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
