About me
I provide a safe, accepting and comfortable space where you can talk through the thoughts that haunt you. We can work together to try and better understand you and what prevents you from feeling more happiness. In my adult work I tend to find myself supporting clients who have a deep desire to understand themselves and others better, but the issue's we explore can be wide ranging from Relationship and attachment issue's , anxiety and depression to sexual addiction.
I am a friendly, open and caring counsellor and I like to show a splash of humor in counselling sessions, where needed. You will find that I am not a blank canvass, like some counsellors choose to be, and I find this helps clients to see that I am human too, like you. You will feel accepted by me, no matter what you're bringing to these sessions. You will find that through counselling you will become more accepting of yourself which will lead you to feeling happier.
I feel extremely lucky to also work with children and young people (CYP). I help CYP find out what works for them and by accepting their individuality within the session helps build their confidence. Using a friendly and flexible approach I help CYP really enjoy the therapeutic process and learn that it can be safe to express their feelings. Through using various strategies I help CYP find ways to understands themselves others and also find new ways of coping.

Training, qualifications & experience
- Level 5 Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Children and Young People
- Level 4 in Therapeutic Counselling
I have worked with both adults and young people through agencies, charitable organisations and within private practice. Throughout these years experience I have encountered and helped people through a wide range of issues.
I have a particular interest in helping clients better understand themselves and others. I provide clients with a gentle challenge to explore their feelings and behaviours, improve self compassion and understanding and work towards change. I provide clients with psycho-education to support understanding of behaviours and I also promote resilience and finding practical solutions to cope better with life's inevitable challenges.
I am committed to continuing to develop as a counsellor by attending regular CPD or reading in the areas which are of interest to me, or where training or reading might benefit my clients and give me further skills to support them.
If I feel my experience training is not appropriate to you and your needs I will aim to support you finding more appropriate support.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
