About me
I believe, that it is one thing to listen to someone when they speak, but it is another to truly hear what they are saying. In sessions my aim is to offer true warmth and honesty so that we can work together in a trusting therapeutic relationship.
My work with clients covers many different aspects such as trauma, abuse, self-harm, bereavement, long term and life changing health issues, relationship difficulties, job dissatisfaction, life changes, depression or simply unexplained feelings of loss, fear and anxiety.
Working together, at your pace, we can explore what is troubling you, uncover any root causes and identify specific ways of thinking. We can then look at identifying what you need, create some strategies to help reconcile your issues and find ways of coping.
About me
I am warm, approachable and non-judgemental. I believe everybody deserves a chance to be heard, understood and valued for who they are.
My training as an integrative counsellor means I can work with you to find the best theoretical approach to suit your needs ensuring you get as much out of your sessions as possible. I combine elements of Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Psychodynamic Theory.
Alongside my private practice, I am a Clinical Manager at a youth counselling charity as well as working for Bupa Macmillan supporting people affected by cancer as well as supporting those close to them.
I can offer short or long-term counselling depending on your needs.
Whatever the reason, we can work together to increase your self-awareness and your potential.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
