How can I help??

Finding the right counsellor for you can be an overwhelming task and it can be hard to know what to look for when searching. Having a positive relationship with your therapist, underpinned by respect, trust and empathy without fear of judgement is absolutely vital and I hope to always offer people these conditions and try and understand life in your shoes in order to work out what would best help you move forwards. I have huge respect for anyone who seeks counselling to work on something which they are finding difficult and know the courage it takes to make this move... I’ve been there myself, and it has made me realise how life changing Counselling can be.

Now, more than ever before, there are times in life where things may feel too much, overwhelming, anxiety provoking, stressful or difficult to navigate alone. During the Covid-19 pandemic, anxiety levels have been at an all time high.

Whether it be difficulty coping with this, or a particular circumstance or situation, an ongoing problem which you are finally ready to work through or a desire to improve certain aspects of your life and how you are feeling, I can help.

I have experience working with specific difficulties such as anxiety, panic, depression, self-harm, self-esteem issues, phobias, PTSD, bereavement and loss, bullying, anger management issues, Coping with chronic health conditions, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, family issues and relationship difficulties.

I also offer help to those who simply wish to make positive improvements in their life or simply seek someone to talk to and make sense of their experiences together.

I am here to offer a confidential, empathic and non-judgemental space where you are safe to talk about how you are feeling and what you may be experiencing. My current experience has been with both adults and teenagers. I am a trained Cruse Bereavement Counsellor and School Counsellor. I have a small, private home-based practice and also offer online services.

Please reach out..

If you need someone to listen and are ready to reach out, please contact me. I aim to approach any person who is seeking to help themselves through difficulty with kindness, compassion and care. I will not judge you, I will listen and establish what brings you to Counselling and aim to help facilitate positive changes in your life or aid a journey of greater self awareness or arm you with the tools to navigate difficult situations or feelings. You are never alone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
