About me

Caring, Professional Counselling. Online counselling available. Qualified 21 years ago. Experienced in Private Practice, Counselling Service and Healthcare. Free consultation. I specialise in anxiety, depression, also in many other areas including; family issues, relationship problems, loss and grief, trauma, low self-esteem.

I offer a safe, private room, where you can explore your difficulties and what you are experiencing in your life at this time.

My Counselling.                                                                                                                      I understand the courage it can take to make the decision to start counselling and can assure you, that you will find my counselling style warm, holistic, respectful and non judgmental. From the core values of my counselling ethos, I always relate with empathy, integrity and honesty. I will support you safely through the counselling process.

I offer the ability to just listen where life experiences and feelings need to be voiced and heard. I can help you to understand yourself more fully and facilitate you finding the right way forward for you.

I use an integrative counselling approach, which means I am trained in a variety of different approaches and therapeutic techniques. From these I tailor the counselling to suit each client's specific needs, in order to give the right expertise in each case. Depending on your difficulties, I can equip you with techniques to help you achieve your counselling goals.

I can offer short term or long term counselling.

Free Consultation.                                                                                                              The first 30 minute appointment is free. This will give you the opportunity to meet me, to get a sense of whether you would feel comfortable with me as your therapist. We can discuss what you would like to achieve through counselling and it will help me to better understand your problems. There will be no pressure to commit to starting therapy and only if you wish to, will we go on to make further appointments.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


Association for Christian Counsellors

The Association of Christian Counsellors is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK.

The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
