About me

Hello. I am David.

As a therapist, I believe in the ability of individuals to heal and better their lives, transforming difficulties, trauma, and anxiety into personal insight.

I offer individual and couples integrative psychosexual and relationship therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I use different approaches from a variety of therapeutic models to suit your needs so that you are able to walk your own path towards self-knowledge, understand your current emotions and behaviours and gain insights about the influence of past experiences, family and society.

Over the last 12 years, I have helped hundreds of men and women to transform their personal lives through deeper awareness of themselves in interactive workshops, group facilitation, meditation sessions, social work delivery and one to one/couples therapy. Before becoming a therapist I worked in the Social Services field in different roles supporting vulnerable adults, families, and professionals.

I offer online therapy in English and Spanish and work in a diversity-affirmative way with people from different backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold Postgraduate Diplomas in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, in Conflict Resolution, and in Process Group Work. I have Counselling Skills level 2 and 3 qualifications, an MA in Social Work, a BA in Political Science, an Advanced Diploma in Couples Therapy and a BA in Sociology.

I have studied Tantra in Bodhgaya, India, and undertaken Neo-Tantra courses in Munich as well as a one-year Diploma in Sex, Emotional Intelligence and Spirituality in Berlin

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
