About me
I am a fully qualified integrative Counsellor and CBT Practitioner. I use more than one approach within sessions, tailoring your therapy to meet your needs. I offer a safe space with no judgement for you to explore your thoughts and emotions where I will support you during this time of self discovery.
Counselling is an opportunity to speak freely about issues you feel may be impacting you in an unhelpful way. I have successfully worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, panic attacks, bereavement & loss, addiction, low self worth, relationship issues, to name a few. Frequently people seek counselling when they don't know what is wrong, however they know something needs to change. Your therapy sessions are all about you. It is your space and time to explore, discover and heal. Counselling is a different experience for every individual. It is a talking therapy where trust is built between us and emotions and thoughts can be uncovered and explored in a safe environment.
In addition, I am a qualified Life Coach and have over 20 years of experience working with people age 15+ assisting them in working towards and achieving their goals. I also offer online and telephone counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Before becoming a counsellor I worked with vulnerable people in the community to assist them in realising and achieving their goals. This inspired me to continue with my own development of training to become a Counsellor.
I have volunteered at St Lukes Hospice counselling people affected by bereavement and those living with a terminal illness as well as a Substance Misuse organisation working with those affected by addiction.
