About me

Welcome! My name is Claire and I am a BACP and PTUK registered emotional well-being practitioner working with individual adults as well as families and children. I offer both 121 and group sessions, in person ( not currently under COVID guidelines) virtually, and a warm, friendly and non-judgemental space for you to talk through any personal issues you might be struggling with. I have experience working with a number of different areas of mental health and emotional well-being including depression, anxiety and trauma, and I am trained in EMDR therapy for trauma and attachment, CBT, REBT, Behaviour Activation and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

I am also a Life Coach and Master NLP practitioner and can support people who are feeling sad, have low self esteem, struggling with lifestyle and routine and those who want to enhance their performance at work or in sport and want to overcome limiting beliefs and be the best versions of themselves.

I am also trained in Play Therapy, a form of creative therapy for children designed to help them to express their emotions using creative modalities such as art, clay, sand, Lego and music. As a qualified social worker, I have experience working with looked after children and children at the cusp of care.

I find that often when 1 person in a family unit is struggling it ripples across the family so I often work with the whole family for some sessions.

My aim as a practitioner is to empower individuals to let go of the past and transform negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours into calm and confidence through bespoke coaching techniques – it is really all about you and tailoring our sessions to your specific needs.

My business Inspire You is built on these principles of empowerment and transformation, and by building an online presence my goal is to reach a wider range of people and share my knowledge and skills as an emotional well-being consultant. As part of bringing my practice online, I have developed programs on an app portal in order to provide a whole new level support and promote positive emotional well-being for both adults and children. I also have a Facebook community group where I both run free and paid masterclasses and training in different areas including working with other professionals in aligned services, offer Facebook live Q&A sessions and so much more. You can find the group and get involved here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/keepgoingyouvegotthis/

As a qualified supervisor and practice educator I offer Clinical Supervision to local therapists and trainees face to face or further afield via Skype/ zoom.

I also offer bespoke packages of support including training and workshops, parent child relationship support, and parenting.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Play Therapy UK
