Supervision details
As a qualified supervisor I offer Creative Clinical Supervision to local therapists and trainees face to face or further afield online. I am also qualified as a practice educator and business mentor and can support professionals to develop their private practice or organisational settings. My real passion is attachment and trauma and love exploring different pathways. I often utilise creative toolkit elements such as drawing, visualisations, breathwork and sand to explore and unpick complex formulations. I love discovering more about what is going on for clients we work with and how that is played out within our relationships. I utilise a variety of questioning to explore pathways with clients we are working with to help supervisees to consider different perspectives. I love using visualisations and creative ideas to tap into our unconscious mind so will often explore considering images, objects and drawing techniques. I find this incredibly powerful in bringing about new ideas and avenues to explore. I am a firm believer in the seven-eyed supervisor model considering not just clients but the bigger picture and how everything connects. By considering solution focused practical steps to support clients, supervisees leave with clear action plans. I also support with practical tips about setting up your business and getting your therapy business thriving :)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Play Therapy UK is the largest organisation governing therapeutic play and play therapy in the United Kingdom. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
