About me

Hello there, thank you for looking at my profile today!

I am a humanistic counsellor based near Canterbury.

I believe that you are the expert on yourself and what you need to be happy and fulfilled. By forming a trusting and committed relationship with a counsellor, I believe you can work through what's holding you back from being the person you truly are.  Maybe I'm the counsellor to help you achieve this

With no expectations or judgements on who you should be as a person, I believe counselling offers something different to every other relationship we have in our lives.  The chance to be real, authentic and honest is something we all need to be our genuine selves.  This is something which can be hard to achieve in our busy and active lives.

I can offer you the time and space to focus solely on what is going on for you, at the pace that is right for you.

With gentle curiosity I hope I can support you in being able to be the person you really want to be

I currently work for the East Kent College Group as a counsellor and well being practitioner, through this role I have developed particular skills at working with young people and being part of a busy and committed team.

I currently offer face to face sessions from a room in The Lombard House Well Being Centre in Upper Bridge Street in Canterbury.  I can also offer telephone sessions and video sessions if this is more appropriate for you.

Please email or text me for more information or to arrange a no obligation 20 minute phone consultation

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
