Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches as I believe the 'one size fits all' approach to therapy can be quite limiting. I prefer having a well-stocked tool kit of expertise and skills to suit the needs of my clients in any given moment. My 'tool kit' includes; Cognitive Behavioural techniques (CBT); Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP); Inner Child work; Play Therapy; Neuropsychotherapy; Clay Field Therapy; Rewind Trauma Therapy; Attachment therapy; relaxation techniques, and dream work
I am comfortable exploring spiritual issues, particularly around suicide, death and dying. However, if you have no spiritual or religious beliefs, then we would stay within the bounds of secularism.
My therapy related qualifications include:
Diploma's in:
- Counselling
- Hypnotherapy
- Dream Therapy
- Psychology
- Mental Health
- Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
- Play Therapy
- Clay Field Therapy
Certificates in:
- Rewind Trauma Therapy
- CBT
- NLP
- Inner Child Therapy
- Self-harm & Suicide Awareness
- Abuse
- Neglect and Trauma (Level 3)
- Safeguarding (Level 3)
- Concepts of Transactional Analysis
- Autism
- Working with PTSD
- Awareness of Domestic Violence
- MA level certificate in Child & Adolescent Mental Health
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
We are meant to enjoy life. To be happy and free to live and express ourselves without fear; to love and accept ourselves; and to connect in a meaningful way with others. For many, the ability to achieve these fundamental life experiences is blocked or hindered by trauma, fear, grief, loss or emotional disturbance. These blockages can manifest as depression, anxiety, anger, phobias, addictions and many other physical, emotional and mental health problems.
Working with a professional, experienced therapist can help you to find a new perspective as you search for your own resources for change.
My book, 'Who's the Boss of You?', explores limiting core beliefs - how they were created in childhood and continue to sabotage our lives as adults. Available on Amazon and direct from myself.
