You might be feeling particularly Stressed and anxious at the moment or thinking about getting help with things that have been difficult for a long time.  Starting the search for a therapist is the first brave step in the road to making some changes and getting some support.

We can arrange an initial session and I will help you to think about your needs and whether this is the right step for you.  When we meet I will ask you some questions about what has brought you to this point and speak with you about what your therapy will look like.  The first session is also an important opportunity to see how it feels to be with me in the room and whether you feel that I am someone you can work with.  I believe that it is important for your therapist to feel like a good fit for you.  We will think about how you work best and what we need to do to tailor this process to fit your needs.

If you have been struggling or want to work towards certain goals then being in the therapy room where the focus can be entirely on you will be a unique experience.  Working with a therapist creates a relationship very different from those you will have had outside the therapy room.  The work we do will allow you to explore issues, experiences and thoughts that you may not have felt able to discuss with the people you already have in your life.  I offer a private, confidential space where we can think about these things and the impact they are having on your life.  My approach is direct but warm and I focus on empowerment and compassion in the work I do.

I am a chartered Psychologist, my clinic is in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. I provide face to face, skype and telephone private psychological treatment for a range of psychological issues and work with individuals, couples and families.  My career started in the NHS where I have worked in many different services. I now focus my time in independent practice.

I offer supervision to trainee and qualified psychologists as well as consultancy to businesses and the media.

I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council so you can be sure that I adhere to the highest professional standards.

I am a registered provider with most insurance providers, please confirm that your provider will fund my full fee or allow you to cover the excess and is happy for you to pay directly and claim the payment back.

Individual therapy sessions are £150 for 50 minutes (this is the standard therapeutic hour) family and couples sessions are £170 for 50 minutes.

Supervision sessions are £150 for qualified Psychologists and trainees

Group Supervision is £50 per person for 1.5 hours once a month.  I have a maximum of 8 people per group.  I offer these in closed groups with a four month commitment for each round.   

For insurance payments I ask for payment to be made to me directly prior to your session.  I will provide a receipt which can be used to claim the payment back from the insurer.  Please ensure that your insurance provider will fund my full fee or that they are happy for you to pay the excess.
