About me

Hello, I'm Alice, welcome to my page.

It can be a courageous act to even begin to look up counsellors and try to find a way through whatever has brought you to this page right now. I can talk through with you whether you'd feel comfortable to work with me in a free 20 minute phone call. I believe every person is the expert in their own life. Together we can explore the circumstances that are feeling difficult for you, with space to reflect, hear yourself think and take a deeper look at what might be behind what's happening for you. I won't tell you what to do, but I will help you to find your own insights and clarity to move forwards with.  I offer a warm, non-judgmental and empathetic space, to support you on the journey of deeper self understanding, with compassion for whatever has brought you here and full belief that we can find your way through it.

I work holistically to fully understand what's going on for you. Together we can look at the full picture of your life, past, present, future, your inner thoughts and feelings and the circumstances surrounding you. We can explore the ways you usually cope with difficulties, how you've come to view yourself, and what might help moving forward. We can do this at your own pace and we can talk together about the process between us to tailor our sessions to your individual needs.

I offer online sessions across the country and face to face sessions in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Please let me know if you have any accessibility needs so we can make sure we have a suitable space.

If you've read this far and are wondering if we might be a good fit to work together, you can click 'email me' at the top of this page and we can arrange a free 20 minute phone call. I can answer any questions you have and you can tell me a little about yourself and what you are looking for.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
