About us

Hello, Thank you for stopping by and reading how I work.

We provide one to one counselling through different formats, either face to face, via Zoom or telephone, both as an individual accessing counselling or through organiations providing counselling to meet staff needs.

We also provide one to one supervision for student and qualified counsellors, as well as professionals within other roles that require supervsion, both individually and through organisations.

We have counsellors available to work with you on a one to one basis and are registered members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

We offer a relaxed atmosphere where you will be able to examine your thoughts and feelings without being judged and where we will help you to find your own way at your own pace.

We believe everybody is unique and individual, as such a one size fits all approach does not work. I work from an integrative approach, tailored to work with your needs.
This enables you to gain the most out of counselling and achieve what you want to achieve.

We offer an initial session for £10, lasting 50 minutes. this includes discussing your needs, expectations of counselling and how best we could work together.

The Listening Post can offer both short and long term counselling, with regular reviews to ensure you are gaining what you want from counselling.

Each session is 50 minutes (therapeutic session) and ideally weekly but can work around other commitments.

As we are a not for profit organisation, all clients session costs are income based. sessions go from £10 to £40

If you are interested in accessing ourservices, please feel free to contact us, just letting us know how you would like to access counselling, face to face, zoom or telephone.

we have immediate appointments available, with the aim of having the initial appointment within 3 days of contacting us and beginning your counselling journey within 7 days of the initial appointment.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
