About me

I am an experienced, UKCP-accredited psychotherapist offering warm and collaborative space to explore a wide range of difficulties. I particularly specialise in working with anxiety, stress, and patterns of behaviour that may feel difficult to change, including addiction. I often work with people who may appear to be coping on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the direction their life is taking.

Sessions provide a calm and confidential environment where you can speak openly and begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. My approach is integrative and tailored to you, with a strong foundation in existential psychotherapy. This means we will explore not only the difficulties you are facing, but also the wider context of your life—your values, choices, and what it means for you to live in a way that feels meaningful and authentic.

I have over 15 years’ experience working in private practice, as well as within drug and alcohol services, including in dual diagnosis roles. This has given me a depth of experience in working with complexity, and in understanding how patterns such as anxiety, stress, and addictive behaviours can develop and become difficult to shift.

I incorporate mindfulness in my approach to therapy. Mindfulness can significantly change the way we relate to difficult feelings and experiences and has been shown to reduce stress and help with depression and anxiety.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
