About me

Hello, I'm a qualified integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist specialising in low self-esteem and confidence.

My approach is that of a holistic nature.

Taking you and your life experiences into consideration from the outset to facilitate transformational healing, allowing space for autonomy for your own personal growth towards a positive outcome.

I work with many issues (please see list below) however, my specialism is working with the relationship with yourself, which may cause different presenting symptoms of low mood and anxiety.  This may have developed into a deep sense of never feeling good enough despite your good intentions,  confusion, depression, fear of abandonment,  inability to trust others, numbness, procrastination, social anxiety/withdrawal, stress, general anxiety, family conflict, masking, relationship difficulties, controlling emotions, anger, age-appropriate behaviour (still feeling like a child), lack of boundaries, substance misuse, inability to trust others, burn-out, bereavement (living or passed), deep sense of loss, loneliness, not belonging, looking for external validation,  heartbreak. distorted view of self or unhealed trauma.

We will explore your thoughts, emotions and outward behaviours which , maybe from childhood & younger years through to adulthood were developed to keep you safe, but no longer serves a purpose.  Gaining a healthy perspective, allowing you to accept, adjust and implement new tools and strategies to create a new way of living your life to the fullest.

If you feel that you need that extra support and someone to talk to who can help you to navigate life challenges and see things from a different perspective, gaining clarity of who you are, where you are and to feel that connection, a sense of purpose and control again, please call for a free consultation giving you the opportunity to ask any questions and find out if you'd like to work with me on a one to one basis.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
