About me

Let me start by offering you a warm welcome to my page.

Sometimes we find ourselves becoming stuck or unsure of how or what to do to move forward. I believe by building in some time to be fully present in sessions/life we can begin to see the direction we wish to go in.

I provide both short term and long term therapy.  The way in which I work focuses a lot on the relationship between my clients and myself. I feel with a trust-based relationship and the right environment, there is the potential to have a greater awareness of personal issues.

Through regular contact, I will be able to sit beside you on the journey to self-discovery, with self-discovery comes growth and the awareness for change.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I work in a variety of ways. I have a humanistic core to my Therapy,  drawing on Psychodynamic theory,  working with the unconscious thoughts. A passion of mine is looking into childhood, piecing together who you are today, Looking into attachment styles. From this, we can look at the present day.

I will provide a safe space for you to talk freely and try to understand what it means to be you.

Creative therapy, Sand tray and Gestalt also used.

I hold an advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision.

I am also a qualified Tutor and Coach so can provide, Tutoring, coaching and mentoring.

First steps for the client to take to start their counselling journey:

Please email or call me to discuss an initial session- zbcounselling20@gmail.com/ 07934969687

During the initial session we will discuss the reasons that bring you to therapy and see if we are able to work together.

If we agree to work together, we will book further sessions on a weekly/ fortnightly basis.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
