About me
Hello, sometimes life can be hard and there are moments when we may feel hopeless. We all face challenges and there are times when things can become really overwhelming or difficult
For those times of distress or worry, a confidential place to be listened to can be a helpful starting point. Perhaps you feel anxious, worried, overwhelmed, or confused by recent or past life events.
It is common to feel stuck; finding yourself repeating negative patterns and making the same unhelpful life choices, or struggles with relationships
About me:
I am a UK licensed Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Counselling tutor with extensive, professional work experience. To introduce myself I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, which simply means I use different techniques so that we find the most suitable approach for you. Working in a confidential, safe space, together we will explore what is going on for you.
What I can offer:
You may need the space to find some self-healing and acceptance and my aim is to help you feel accepted, feel safe, heard and understood. By listening without judgement, I hope to help you reconnect with your feelings and your sense of self-worth.
I won’t tell you what to do, as it's not my place; rather we will work together to help you find a clearer perspective and move forward and regain control.
Working in a Person-Centred way and using my experience in trauma, abuse and PTSD, I will treat you with care and respect. It also might help to know I have considerable experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, anxiety and depression, panic attacks, self-esteem, bullying, domestic violence, anger issues, BPD, chronic illness, cancer and terminal diagnosis, together with many other difficult emotional issues.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
