About me

Expressing how we feel can be difficult. Sometimes impossible.

Through art, we can begin to communicate and express ourselves.

Creativity allows access and exploration at a different level.

Words are not enough or perhaps you do not know how you feel?

No creative experience is needed

I meet you where you are each session, using different interventions to support you on each part of your therapeutic journey. you do not always have to create, talking is part of this process.

I offer online individual, group therapy, and clinical supervision for the UK and in-person and online for Qatar and globally.

What art materials will I need?

All that you need to start with is a packet of pastels or crayons and paper. Other materials can be purchased as the sessions progress, however, always use your own recyclable materials where possible. Within my therapy sessions, I also use alternative healing techniques including meditation so it is best to be in a quiet room within your house.

How does an Art Therapy Session work?

Each session, we will explore what you are experiencing and the goals that you would like to reach with your sessions and you will be guided to work creatively and verbally. It is essential that your screen is on during the sessions to be able to work effectively together.

You are free to explore different forms of creative expression using many items including, but not limited to; paper, pencil crayons, markers, pastels, paint, fabric, pipe cleaners, clay, recycled materials, watercolours, and of course glitter!

Drawing/Painting: You can just use a pencil and a piece of paper, as well as any other colourful art materials and different mediums, such as clay. There is no upper limit to what you could use
Photography: Photographs or online applications can be used where we discuss pictures you have taken between sessions and edited or untouched
Collage: Using scissors and glue or digital applications
Digital Art: Since we are online, you can also create art on your computer and share it with me, such as digital collages
Crafts: Any choice of crafts can be used
Poetry and Narrative: You can use words, stories and poetry within your creative sessions as you like, as part of an image or separately.

Art can be created spontaneously, one or more, in one session or over more than one session.

Sharing your artwork, thoughts and feelings is safe and will not be judged.

All sessions are treated with confidentiality.

Short-term and long-term therapy is an options depending on individual needs.
