About me

I'm an experienced Person Centred therapist offering an integrative approach, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis to help you with a wide range of issues that may be affecting your Mental Health. These include generalised anxiety, depression, bereavement, suicidal ideations, PTSD, victims of abuse (sexual, emotional, physical). Childhood trauma, neglect. Relationship breakdown/Divorce. Low self-esteem and low self-worth.

Are you struggling with increased anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder and/or depression? Do you feel life and your emotions are becoming unmanageable, feeling unable to cope?

I offer a professional, empathic, non-judgemental and confidential service, drawing from different theories that allows me to tailor the therapy specific to your needs. Recognising your individuality and uniqueness.

I work for the NHS Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service and in private practice.

Experience of working at Delamere Rehab as an addiction therapist. The first purpose-built addiction treatment centre in the country I have a wide range of experience and integrative skills around alcohol and drug addiction, along with secondary addictions including gambling, shopping, food and exercise. Exploring the emotions of guilt and shame, trauma, anger, grief and addictive behaviours presented.

I work in a professional client-centred manner creating a therapeutic environment where you can feel heard, respected, understood and accepted. A safe and non-judgemental space allowing you to explore and process areas of difficulty.

It takes courage to openly talk about experiences and trauma. The fact you are reading this is such an important step. I will support you on your journey of exploration, helping you to reflect and process in a safe, confidential environment. Allowing you to make your own decisions based on what is going to work for you.

If you have any questions or would like to book a session, please call me on 07736 108 402 or send me an email.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
